HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR.KING

Hi everyone as you all know I'm on a campaign to save blackmen revealed the T.V. show on TV one.I recently called into the 2live stews radio show in Atlanta and told them about the blog. They like the idea and e-mailed my blog to TV one. Now like i said i think the show is very important for black men to have a voice about the issues that are going on in society. On my blog each week (well I'm going to try) I'm going to post a black man who is doing well in our society and that is a role model. For people to see that there are a lot of black men doing their thing. I also will post a topic that was discussed on blackmen revealed tvshow. Like i said all are welcomed to discuss issues, don't be shy. Thank you

  1. I love the idea of profiling a positive black male role model!

As for discussion issues, can we talk about Obama? Sorry, I still so excited, I can't help myself. Seriously though, do you think the symbolism of a black man in the Oval Office will change the stigma of black men in broader society?

  2. I feel like having a beatiful first family should encourage black men and women to step up and achieve more. Obama has opened up opportunities for Black men and Women to change the stigma. However he cannot change it for them. It's up to those black men and women to prove that there can be more Michelle's and Barack's in the world. He can become the best President in the world's history but, it wont change how people look at their black neighbors if their black neighbors arent acting right. Everyone will still love him, but may still be reluctant to embrass the race as a whole unless black people are willing to look within themselves and ask "Where are WE going wrong?" cuz hes goin the damn thing! Just my opinion!

  4. I agree! President Obama has set a standard for us to maintain. We all need to step our game. We can't always change how people feel but we can change what they see.
